The all-American Chefs Exchange Program is on again in the Land Down Under. This world-renowned public relations initiative allows military and restaurant chef to exchange culinary delights and kitchens for a day. In this instance, a Mess Specialist from the USS PINCKNEY and leading chefs from Hermitage Hill Restaurant are offered the unique opportunity.
Day 1... After berthing at Sydney port, the USS PINCKNEY Supply Officer meets with Resort and Catering Institute representatives to discuss arrangements. For instance: * Select appropriate days / times for both exchanges. If the meeting is held onboard the ship with both chefs present in their uniforms, this is the ideal photographic opportunity in the galley without having to interfere on the actual day.
Day 2 Exchange one: The restaurant chef will step aboard the USS PINCKNEY and cook up a storm. The confined spaces of the ships galley and restricted on-board food supplies are sure to provide a memorable challenge. Day 3... Exchange two: The USS PINCKNEY chefs to visit the prestigious restaurants kitchen.
